Padres – Rockies Spring Training 3 run homer

Just went to a Spring Training game and watched the Rockies and Padres.  Here’s s short video clip of a 3 run homer.  I was using a small digital camera that has a video mode built in.

Quote For The Day

I’m not sure where this came from. The email I received referenced Lincoln but I couldn’t find it anywhere attributed to him.  I does sound like something he would say.

“You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it. You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The Government cannot give to anybody anything that the Government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half get’s the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is surely the end of any nation’s future.”

Grow Your Business Exponentially

Most companies when they sit down to do revenue projections for next year focus on one area of their business.  That’s fine if you only want incremental growth.  What if you looked at three interrelated areas and were able to realize exponential growth.  It’s all in the way you look at your business and the potential opportunities.  Frame your initiatives around all three to see massive growth.

The initiatives don’t have to be fundamental shifts in your core business.  They don’t have to be a huge stretch goal that you know you’ll never achieve. If you just grew your business 2% in each category below…that’s an 8% increase…3% growth in each category would get you a 27% increase…sounds like bonus time.

Follow this formula to grow your business exponentially.  Add a percent increase number to each of the blocks and multiply the three together.  You’ll come up with a potential number for growth.  Make sure you have a solid plan for each category of growth.

Sedona, Arizona

These are photos of Sedona, Arizona that I took recently.  Most of the shots are from Oak Creek.  It snowed a few days before I was there and the landscape was covered just enough to make the photos more interesting.

Click on the thumbnail images to see the full size shots. The 5th photo actually started out as three separate photos that I stitched together in Photoshop. Click the image below to see the original three shots. Then click the 5th photo in the gallery to see the finished version.

The Grand Canyon Home Page

As I mentioned in previous posts, I have a number of sites that use content management systems.  This site uses Wordpress.  Another site I’ve been working on also uses Wordpress.  I recently found a number of really good themes for Wordpress.  Check out The Grand Canyon. This site uses a theme by Solostream.  The actual theme name is: WP Magazine Theme 1.0.  It’s a bit involved as you set it up because you’ve got to add thumbnail images and size images for the featured articles.  It’s more like a ‘magazine’ look and feel.  Tell me what you think.
